A safe and reliable car. We have bought another SAAB and sadly, we don\'t have room or the need to keep our ‘Biskit’, so she is being offered up for sale. If you are looking for a first car or cheap reliable runabout, then this would be ideal. She has a load of character and is fun to drive. It will be sad to see her go! She’s a 1985 Model 900i 5-speed manual with air conditioning. Mechanically, she is running well and apart from some noise from the passenger side front wheel bearing, there are no other known problems with the car. Motor is smooth, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering are also all good. No leaks. On the road, the car feels very solid and drives very smoothly . She could give some of the newer cars a run for their money in the style and comfort department. The AC may need recharge as it has not been used for over an year. On the whole, given the age of the car, it has a fairly decent and presentable interior and exterior. The bodywork is generally in very good condition although there are a couple of minor marks, scratches and parking dents on the outside and a small rusty hole on the passenger door (see photo). Nothing structural, it’s just cosmetics and at least it hasn’t been covered up! The invisible paint protection film is flaking in some areas, however the paint underneath is in good condition. Good seats, door trims and roof lining. Usual Saab dash top cracks apply, but nothing a dash mat can\'t cover if you’re inclined (never really bothered us). We also have the original books and keys for the car. The car is up for sale without rego and RWC. You should have no problems getting one (I have no time, otherwise I would just register it and increase the starting price). She’ll need a new battery, and I believe 2 new tyres for RWC. The car is for sale for $700 WITHOUT the CD player, which is currently installed (Pioneer, detachable face, about 1 year old, as new condition – see photo), or you can have the CD player for additional $150 (original price was $250).
